A rebuilt Joey Cash
Joey Cash has been rebuilt. Not refreshed — rebuilt, module by module, against the shops that were already using it.
What is new
- A new design system. The whole interface is one vocabulary now: one card, one toolbar, one table, one set of status colours. Where there used to be seven slightly different toolbars there is one.
- Offline order capture. The till keeps taking orders with no internet. Orders queue on the device and are re-checked by the server on reconnect, with a review queue for anything that no longer adds up.
- A built-in online store. A real storefront on the same database as the counter — same products, same stock, same customers.
- Blind end-of-day counts. Staff enter what is in the drawer without seeing the expected figure, and the variance is booked to the ledger.
- A wholesale and reseller portal, with trade pricing, credit terms and three-party orders.
- Performance mode. Turns off the blur effects for cheap Android terminals, so the interface keeps up on the hardware shops actually own.
What we fixed
Two long-standing bugs are gone, and both were quietly costing money:
- Finalising a stock count wrote no stock at all while still booking the shortage as an expense.
- Deleting or re-settling an order could leave money and stock behind in the ledger.
This website
Rebuilt too, on a new stack. It is now fully static, loads with almost no JavaScript, and is properly bilingual — the Arabic pages are Arabic pages, not translated English ones.
